My boyriend is in Houston, which I also love, but Austin blew me away. :) Oh as for lighting I use a Portaflash Lighting Kit with a two stand lighting set (http://www.photoanswers.co.uk/upload/3108/images/Portaflash%20DigitalStudioKit.jpg). I only use it indoors or outdoor if I can hook it up to an extension cord.
