WHAT KIND OF CAMERA DO YOU USE?
I use a mixture of cameras, from 35mm to Medium Format (and in the past, Large Format). I love digital and use digital above everything else, but sometimes the occassion calls for film. My main digital body is the Nikon D200, but I keep my old Nikon D70s lying about for the very odd shot. I have about five 35mm cameras but my most used ones are; Canon AE-1, Canon 300v and Praktika LRL-3. Most of my medium format shots are taken with a Mamiya RB67 or an old school Bronica, or of course, the good old Holga.
WHICH LENSES DO YOU USE THE MOST?
Nikkor 18-105mm
Nikkor 18 – 70mm
Sigma 10 – 20mm
Sigma 70 – 300mm
Nikkor 50mm
WHAT/WHERE DID YOU STUDY? DID YOU LIKE IT?
I studied for a B.A.(hons) degree in Photography at the London College of Communication (part of the University of the Arts London). I studied from 2005 – 2008. Prior to doing so, I took a diploma in Foundation Studies of Art and Design at the University of Ulster. I really enjoyed my time at LCC and would reccomend it to anyone. I didn’t enjoy my time at the University of Ulster, but I know a lot of people who did. I think LCC was more ‘my kind of thing’.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING?
Right now, I’m a freelance photographer fulltime. I do a lot of mediocre photography (family portraits, baby and child portraits…) that kind of thing to bring in money, which I then invest into my real passion which is documentary photography for fine-art settings (ie: going around snapping the world and then sticking it into a frame and exhibiting it). So yes, my world and life pretty much revolve around images 24/7.
