My name is Sarah Kane and I’m UK/USA based, full-time/24-7, freelance Photographer.

I’m a mid-twenty-something. I was born & raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I moved to London and graduated from the University of the Arts / London College of Communication in 2008 with a BA (Hons) in Photography. Since then I’ve been splitting my time between the United Kingdom and the United States – the USA is my creative homeland.

Like anyone with a creative side the list of things that inspire me does not end. From the usual suspects of fashion, art, music and cinema to the slightly more personal or distinct, like tacky slasher horror movies, the music of Tori Amos, make-up and make-up artistry, snapping the thunderstorms that roll off the Gulf Coast in summer, flamingos, re-runs of The X-Files, Selfridges, early 00’s Marc Jacobs designs, 90’s riot grrrl, 70’s New York City, snakes, Vanity Fair and the opening scene of the movie ‘Zodiac’ – actually make that any David Fincher movie, Americana, traditional tattoo art, news reportage and politics (mostly social politics). Not forgetting my hyper-intelligent kitty cat named Moses.

One day, one day I’ll write about myself ‘properly’, for now you can just go ask and read some questions. Thank you!
